Bee Cave is a city in Travis County within Texas County. The city has a total area of 2.6 square miles and it’s all land with a population of 9144 as of 2020. Bee Cave has its name from the Mexican honeybees’ colonies that lived near Little Barton Creek and Barton Creek. They encompassed larger areas of Western Travis County at the river banks.
